Florida Disaster uploaded a disaster supply kit checklist with numerous tips and tools that can be beneficial in case of a disaster. A few items they list for your first aid kit are adhesive bandages, scissors, tweezers, antiseptic, thermometer, aspirin and other items that can be useful in case of a medical emergency. Some documents that you will need on hand during an emergency would be insurance cards, medical records, bank numbers, credit card numbers, social security, and other personal documents. Florida Disaster also suggests you keep your motor vehicle tanks filled with gas and have at least a two weeks supply of medication and food. Now with COVID-19 you also need to make sure you have face masks, disinfectant wipes, and hand sanitizer readily available. They also recommend you include specialty items for infants, small children, the elderly, and those family members with disabilities. See the checklist below for further information.
